This Day in Weather History: April 6
In 1929, a real soaker hit the Provo area when 1.52 inches of rain were measured. In 1969, 60-mph plus winds damaged aircraft at the Canyonlands Airport and tore the roof off a car shop. Moab's power was also knocked out as the wind blew over a power pole carrying 69,000 volts. In 1998, two funnel clouds were seen over the Tooele Army Depot.
