THE COURT — Steph Curry recently broke the NBA's all-time record for 3-pointers, overtaking Ray Allen's mark of 2,973. With his precision mechanics and seemingly limitless range, many people consider him the greatest shooter of all time.
But all is not well in Dub Nation. You see, Curry's been mired in a slump of late. His long-range shots aren't falling, and even his closer looks have been rattling out more than normal.
Has Curry lost his touch? Absolutely not. He's just enduring a bad stretch, as all great shooters do. And this video shows just how accurate he continues to be.
Most of us have played "Around the World" at least once or twice, but it's doubtful that many people do "around the half-court" like this. Honestly, Curry makes it all look effortless. A simple flick of his wrist and the ball passes through the hoop with that trademark swish.
My prediction is that Curry comes out of this slump within the next week or so. And then he won't merely return to solid shooting. No, he's going to log at least a couple of games with 10 or more 3-pointers. And don't be surprised if he eclipses Klay Thompson's NBA record of 14 3-pointers in a single game.
After watching this video, it all seems possible. If only those pesky defenders would back up and give the guy some breathing room.
