Happy Martin Luther King Day! Today’s weather on the mountain is sunny but bitterly cold, so proper preparation is key for enjoying your time outdoors. Temperatures will climb to a high of 9°F during the day and dip to a low of 3°F at night. Wind chill values will make it feel as cold as -11°F, with light winds from the north-northeast at 8 mph adding to the chill. Be sure to layer up with insulated clothing, gloves, and face protection to stay warm and comfortable on the slopes.
The mountain is in fantastic shape after consistent snowfall this season, with 119 inches of snow blanketing the trails. Skiers and snowboarders can enjoy various terrains, with 115 open runs and 13 lifts ready to carry you to your next adventure. Whether you're a beginner or an expert, the sunny skies and fresh snow create an ideal day for exploring the mountain. Be sure to check trail conditions and lift schedules for the best experience.
As part of January Safety Month, it’s important to remember to ride RAD to ensure a safe and enjoyable day on the mountain:
R: Be READY to stop or maneuver quickly to avoid obstacles, hazards, or other skiers.
A: Stay ALERT to your surroundings, watching for changes in terrain or other skiers. Downhill riders always have the right of way.
D: Maintain a safe DISTANCE from others by leaving at least 15 feet of space on all sides to avoid collisions. Safety is everyone's responsibility, so let’s do our part to keep the slopes fun and safe!

Good morning! It’s Cassidy with your daily snow report.
After another weekend full of snow and a dusting last night, the sun is forecasted to beam its rays today. Although the sun will be shining, don’t be deceived; it is going to be a cold one at The Bird. If you already packed an extra layer, pack another and plan on taking a few breaks to warm up. Anticipate temperatures near 10° and windchill near -17°. That’s right, -17°. However cold it is, the skiing is still awesome, and you may even find a stray powder stash or two in the Gad Valley trees.
Temperatures will warm up a bit as the week progresses, remaining steady in the mid to high 20°’s with limited windchill values. Sunny skies are going to stick around through Thursday, excellent for bluebird laps with plenty of snow from the weekend. Maybe it’s time to ride a lift you haven’t this season and get that Around The World badge or come skiing 4 days in a row for your Soul Shredder badge in the Snowbird app .

Happy MLK Day! The sun will be out, but the air will be cold today. We’ll start the day in negative digits before hitting a high of 4 around noon. Conditions on the mountain are variable but fun. You can find a bit of everything out there right now, from hidden powder patches to playful moguls to pleasant groomers (we currently have 30+ groomed trails). Keep an eye out for icy spots on high traffic trails like Fleet Street and Summit Access West. If you are trying to reach Summit Express and don’t want to edge your way down Summit Access West, ride the Sunrise chair and approach from Summit Access East. Advanced skiers, Honeycomb Canyon is now open from Summit, providing access to both East Face and West Face terrain. Find fun turns on Woodlawn, Black Bess, Voltaire, and Prince of Wales.
