Have You Seen This? More proof that gender reveal parties have gone too far

THE OVERDONE PARTY — I need to warn you that this video is going to cause some serious debate. It highlights the most divisive thing our country is facing at the moment. The thing everyone is talking about. The thing that everyone has picked a side on. There is no middle ground here; you're in one camp or the other and you are passionate about your position. You will argue about your stance at family gatherings, zoom meetings and kindergarten school plays. It's the subject that will either unite us as a nation or tear us apart.

You all know what I'm talking about: gender reveal parties.

I can't think of anything else going on in America right now that can rival this battle. Should there be gender reveal parties or should they be outlawed? Depending on your stance, you're either going to love this video or it will be the most aggravating thing you see this week.

Gender reveal parties are just that. Soon-to-be parents gather friends and family to reveal the sex of their new baby. Balloons filled with either pink or blue powder that are then popped is a popular choice. I've also seen a piñata with blue or pink candy as well as an exploding box. The latter method started a 47,000-acre wildfire. Guess where I stand on the whole issue.

These parties seem to get bigger and odder with each passing day. This video highlights a boxing match between giant babies. One a boy and one a girl. For me, the video is cringe-worthy and also looks expensive. Kids are already a drain on finances; do we need to add to that insanity before it's even out?

Regardless, the boxing match ensues with a lot of spectators, doesn't seem very socially distanced, and eventually, one of the giant and giantly-upsetting babies wins. I won't ruin the ending.

Yes, I will, no one won. It's a mess.

So, whatever camp you have your feet planted in with this issue tearing our nation apart, please be civil and stop igniting wildfires. Thanks.
