THE BAY — We are living in a particularly heavy time right now.
The words "global pandemic" never mean anything good, and we are all feeling the consequences in one way or another.
That’s why my new motto is "When the going gets tough, it’s time to get real silly, y’all."
OK, so the catchphrase needs some work, but the principle behind it is solid. When things feel overwhelming, sometimes you need something completely mindless to pull you out of a funk and help you get going again.
And that, dear readers and watchers, is what is presented to you in this article.
The concept of this featured video is simple: What if a bunch of seals "sang" a Seal song? You remember Seal from the '90s, right? Formerly married to Heidi Klum? Had the one-hit-wonder song "Kiss from a Rose" from the soundtrack of "Batman Forever"? You know, the one with Val Kilmer as Batman and Jim Carrey as The Riddler?
I digress.
The point is someone took the time to find seals barking at different musical pitches, then edited it all together so that seals are "singing" Seal. It’s a pun that will go down in the annals of history and a true labor of love from someone who I assume is a dad dedicated to taking his puns to the next level.
It's about as nonsensical as you can get. Therefore, it is perfect.
