TORONTO — Police are no strangers to chauffeuring citizens across crosswalks on busy streets, but as a video from early May shows, even families of the webbed-foot variety could use a hand — or wing — every now and then.
In the situation at hand, the street is bustling, making the geese and their babies hesitate to continue their stroll.
That's when an officer steps up in a big way to escort the geese around passersby and vehicles to the other side of the road.
It's a small gesture for the small family of geese, but I'm sure glad it was captured on video.
The police-geese coordination took place on May 1 in Toronto, according to the video description.
As the enthusiasm from the person filming shows, witnessing something as small, something that could be missed with a blink, but as kind as the officer's move can really brighten a person's day.
Where was the goose family headed? Who knows? But thanks to one man with a badge, they were able to waddle forward.
