ST. GEORGE — Tuacahn Center for the Arts attempted to break a world record on Saturday for the largest gathering of people dressed as princesses during "Tuacahn's Tiara Takeover."

The event was held to set a new mark that would be recognized by the Guinness World Records. A princess was defined as anyone wearing "a long dress or ballgown, and a crown or a tiara." Participants were encouraged to bring their own, but every participant received a swag bag that included a tiara.

"I don't know that I've ever seen this many princesses in one place," Scott Anderson, artistic manager of the amphitheater, said during the opening of the event. "I know what the current world record is. I know for a fact that we have more than that here."

He went on to thank the event's sponsor, Little Adventures, calling the group "a great thing" and held a round of applause for their work.
