ITALY — Do you remember when that computer, Deep Blue, beat the world champion chess player? Garry Kasparov walked into that fateful room with an epic winning streak against his human opponents. But the chess computer proved to be too much for him.
We hear a lot these days about the dangers of AI. It seems that robots are coming for our jobs ... and may even decide to eradicate our species someday.
But there's a more clear and present danger out there than robots that might become violent toward us in the future. And that danger is bearded dragons. These mild-mannered lizards are becoming experts at video games, threatening the high scores attained by humans as in the following video:
Okay, maybe this bearded dragon isn't the unstoppable, reptilian force I described. But, you have to admit, he's pretty good at this game. If he keeps practicing, who knows how skilled he'll become.
It would be awesome to someday see this lizard lounging in a gaming chair at an esports tournament, beating his opponents in a wild game of Fortnite.
