1. Inmate briefly escapes from Cache County Jail Sunday

An inmate at the Cache County Jail briefly escaped Sunday morning during recreation time, officials said, scaling two fences and hiding in a field before being retaken into custody.

2. UHP urges caution as Utahns wake to treacherous roads

The Utah Highway Patrol is asking Utahns to drive cautiously Sunday as they respond to numerous wrecks across the Wasatch Front, including two involving troopers.

3. 2 Utah towns among 'best to work from home,' report says

A recent report rates two Utah cities among the best in the nation for working from home.

4. Thousands donate to statewide Feed Utah Food Drive

Hundreds of thousands of pounds of food were collected in bags and boxes all across the Beehive State as part of the Feed Utah Food Drive.

5. Utah bakery has given away 120K free loaves of bread during COVID-19 pandemic

1. 'It just really sucks': Cougars can't catch up to UCLA, fall early in 1st NCAA Tournament since 2015

Alex Barcello led BYU with 20 points and five rebounds, and fellow senior Brandon Averette scored 10 of his 15 points in the second half for the Cougars, who trailed by 11 at the break and never permanently cut into the lead.

2. Red Rocks claim Pac-12 Championship with season-high score; Maile O'Keefe wins all around

Channeling the 2017 season, the No. 6 Red Rocks came into the Pac-12 Championship determined to overcome their No. 2 seed in the postseason meet.

The seeding didn't matter, though, as the Red Rocks, who were sporting new "Red Spider" leotards, dominated the meet to claim the Pac-12 Championship Saturday night at the Maverik Center with a 197.725 score — a season high. The Red Rocks become the outright champs in 2021 after also claiming the regular-season championship with an undefeated conference record.

3. Turnovers doom Utah State in NCAA Tournament loss to Texas Tech

Justin Bean had 13 points and eight rebounds to lead Utah State, the second-place team in the Mountain West that clinched a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the third time in as many years under Smith.

4. Utah Jazz look a bit more like themselves in win over Toronto Raptors

A smile started to grow on Donovan Mitchell's face as the question was being asked. He knew it was going to come. He had taken over down the stretch — scoring 8 straight points in the final 1:25 to help the Utah Jazz top the Toronto Raptors 115-112 — so of course that was going to be brought up.

He was ready for it.

5. Utah Valley women take 'positive experience' from loss to top-seeded Stanford in NCAA tourney debut

Josie Williams had 18 points, five rebounds and a blocked shot to lead Utah Valley, Maria Carvalho added 6 points, eight rebounds and four assists, and Texas native Nehaa Sohail had 5 points for the Wolverines.
