SOME HILL SOMEWHERE — My birthday is during the summertime and it's always brutally hot.

That means my birthday present requests often revolved around something to do with cooling down. A trip to a water park, a Super Soaker and a season pass to my local pool were all on my wishlist at different times. For my seventh birthday, I got a present that would change my life forever: a Crocodile Mile.

For those who don't remember the Crocodile Mile, it was a Slip ‘N Slide with a bump at the end that sent you through a picture of a crocodile's mouth. In my 7-year-old brain, the slide was roughly a mile and I am positive I hit at least Mach 2 sliding down that thing.

Yesterday's Have You Seen This?

Recently I thought about buying one for my kids. Turns out they're about 10 feet long, and men of my girthy nature tend to make it about 2 feet and then stop on a dime with severe rug burns on our chests.

In order to get the thrill of the Crocodile Mile I enjoyed as a child I need to take the advice from this video and build a 100-foot Slip ‘N Slide.

I have the engineering fortitude of a baby turtle, but with that said, I think even I could follow these steps and make this slide.
