MIDVALE — A woman is in extremely critical condition after a stolen vehicle crashed Thursday morning, police said.
The Honda CRV, which was stolen out of Millcreek, swerved right while traveling north on 900 East and slammed into a legally-parked flatbed construction truck near 6900 South at about 8:30 a.m., according to the Unified Police Department. Investigators said there were two people inside of the vehicle at the time of the crash.
The male driver was transported to the hospital in stable condition, according to police. The female passenger, however, was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition with severe trauma to her body.

The driver of the stolen vehicle is wanted out of Montana, according to investigators. They said he also has $100,000 in warrants from UPD. The man has been involved in several theft investigations and pursuits with multiple law enforcement agencies in the Salt Lake Valley, according to UPD.
A weapon and drugs were located in the vehicle after the crash, according to police. They are still working to determine the exact cause of the crash.
Multiple agencies across the valley had also been looking for both the man and woman in connection with a string of burglaries, according to Richardson.
Investigators were also looking at whether drug use may have contributed to Thursday's crash. Speed was not believed to be a factor.
As a result of the incident, the northbound lanes of 900 East are closed at 6900 South. Northbound traffic is being directed through the center median lane to pass.
More information will be added as it becomes available.
