DISNEYLAND — If you’ve seen anyone’s vacation pictures or videos from their trip to the Happiest Place on Earth, you know that they’re trying to best capture their happiest experiences.
But YouTube user Lack of Awesomeness took a different approach. Instead of taking the predictable photo in front of Sleeping Beauty’s castle or taking advantage of the twee photo op spots in Fantasyland, he decided to up his street cred.
Lack of Awesomeness took selfie video while riding several attractions at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, all while holding a straight, cheerless face. He then cut it together into 35 seconds of hilarious with the song “Ridin’" by Chamillionaire ft. Krayzie Bone.
He plays gangsta while speeding down the Radiator Springs Racers track, during the drop on Splash Mountain and while upside-down in the loop of California Screamin’ while Chamillionaire raps the lyrics, “Tryin’ to catch me ridin’ dirty.”
The juxtaposition of the song and the rides is funny enough, but when Lack of Awesomeness pairs it with the Tow Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree and the Silly Symphony Swings, it gives the video the extra bit of irony to make it special.
