COSTCO — Impromptu musical performances can sometimes be a delightful treat on a busy day. We’ve seen flash mob performances by choirs at the mall. We’ve even seen orchestral flash mobs in the middle of a train station. But rarely are people treated to musical prodigy inside a Costco store.
There are a few rules when entering a Costco. They include never, ever go on a Saturday, your life will be forever changed for the worse. But don’t worry, the free food is there on other days too. Also, Costco deals will be too good to pass up and you’ll leave the store easily spending more than $100 without even breaking a sweat. So, good luck.
However, you never go to Costco for a concert … or do you?
Meet Felipe, a fedora-wearing child who has tremendous talent playing the piano.
In a YouTube video, onlookers at first thought Felipe was just admiring a piano in a local Costco, but are quickly shocked to see him work the ivory keys. A woman off-camera is heard raving about the child, saying she had “goosebumps” from his performance.
Kudos to the kid for not shrinking under pressure of a growing crowd. And kudos to Costco for making a piano available so the world can see Felipe’s talent.
The video was originally posted in 2011, but has since recently picked up traction, and it's worth a watch.
