GOATLANDIA — Yes, the Olympics are currently going, but the real competitive action is happening on a piece of sheet metal. Here’s a video if you missed it live, and I’ll give you a small recap of the amazing battle of King of Goat Mountain.
The competitors were the small but shifty Twin Goats, the underdog Brown Goat and the perennial powerhouse Big Goat.
Things started fast when Twin Goats stood atop the sheet metal mountain and dared anyone to challenge them. Brown Goat made a triumphant leap but couldn’t stay on, but his determination did not waiver.
Brown Goat made another run and knocked off both Twin Goats. Twin Goats made several attempts, but could not knock off Brown Goat. Big Goat made a few sorry attempts, but he was put in the penalty box for language and was neutralized with a tether.
Twin Goats managed to knock Brown Goat off the sheet-metal mountain at one time, but he got right back up and sent Twin Goats tumbling.
Brown Goat’s resolve was stalwart and unshakeable and he ultimately took home the trophy, a can of beans.
In a move of good sportsmanship, Brown Goat shared the podium with Twin Goats to celebrate their hard-fought battle.
