1. New air monitors installed as Utahns seek inversion escape

As inversion season sets in, Utah has two new monitors — one in Murray and one in Magna —to keep an eye on air quality.

2. 7 men arrested in St. George prostitution sting

Seven men were arrested over the weekend in a prostitution sting operation conducted by the St. George Police Department. The men were all booked into the Washington County Jail for investigation of patronizing a prostitute.

3. Report suggests ways to deal with high number of deaths in Utah's county jails

A state panel has made recommendations for dealing with the high number of deaths in Utah's county jails, including mental health screening for new inmates.

4. Police shoot, kill Utahn wielding knife after car chase in West Wendover

Police shot and killed a Utah man Saturday during a standoff after chasing him up and down a busy street in West Wendover. Deputies later identified him as James Robertson, 41.

5. After BYU student's death, Utah's universities work to improve campus mental health

BYU officials say they’re working on a proposal to hire more therapists following the death of a woman last week who fell from the fourth floor of a campus building. The death was deemed a suicide.

The Aggies welcomed back Gary Andersen to the top coaching spot Sunday, after nearly a week of speculation that the University of Utah assistant coach would return to Logan.

2. No. 4 BYU women's volleyball sweeps No. 5 Texas to advance to national semifinals

Roni Jones-Perry poured in 25 kills, three digs and two blocks, and Heather Gneiting added nine kills and four blocks in a balanced attack as BYU swept No. 5 Texas, 25-23, 25-23, 25-21 to advance to the national semifinals next week in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

3. Drive and Dunk: Yoeli Childs helps BYU hoops rebound from 3-game skid with big week

Yoeli Childs made more than a few big shots in his first neutral-site rivalry game against Utah.

But none were bigger than a dunk with 11:23 remaining.

4. Utah State snaps 2-game skid against Weber State, wins 76-67

Sam Merrill scored 19 points and Utah State held off Weber State's late run for a 76-67 victory on Saturday.

5. Weber State falls to Maine 23-18 in FCS quarterfinals

Turnovers and a lack of offense doomed Weber State, as they dropped its quarterfinals round matchup of the FCS Championship playoffs to the Maine Black Bears, 23-18, on Friday night.
