STOCKHOLM, Sweden — A new pizza menu knows what you want even if you don’t, according to developers.

The interactive Pizza Hut menu, which will be found in the chain’s United Kingdom locations, uses Tobii eye-tracking technology to supposedly determine what customers really want. Twenty ingredients are displayed on the tablet-menu for customers to consider.

“In exactly 2.5 seconds, the subconscious menu knows which ingredients your mind and eyes have been looking at longest,” a press release from Tobii reads. “The menu then uses a powerful mathematical algorithm to identify, from 4,896 possible ingredient combinations, the customer’s perfect pizza.”

Researchers claim tests were “incredibly positive with 98 percent of people,” but customers still have the option to start the process over again if they aren’t satisfied. Or, presumably, to order from a more traditional menu.

Regardless of whether the technology actually creates your dream pizza or not, it could be an entertaining way to decide what to eat.

“It’s gimmicky, all right. But if it gets me some actual vegetables on my pizza some day, I’m not complaining,” Discovery News reporter Glenn McDonald wrote in an article.
