HERRIMAN -- A man not only has his car stolen -- he was run over by it too.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports the man was returning a DVD rental to a Redbox near 4600 West and 12600 South Sunday around 2:30 p.m. He had parked his car and left it running while he went to return the movie.

A man jumped into a car and started to drive away. Lt. Don Hutson, with the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office, told the newspaper the car owner tried to get back to the car and the thief backed into one of the man's legs. He suffered minor injuries.

Deputies got a vague description of the suspect.
