SALT LAKE CITY -- A grenade exploded at Dugway Proving Ground over the weekend seriously injuring a Special Forces soldier.
According to the Salt Lake Tribune, the soldier was part of an Army Special Forces unit from Fort Bragg, N.C.
The soldiers are training in Utah before deploying to Afghanistan. A spokesperson at Dugway says the soldier pulled the pin on a grenade, and it exploded.
He was flown to the University of Utah hospital for treatment.
