SUMMIT COUNTY -- Two men out of Massachusetts are now sitting in a Utah jail for allegedly transporting thousands of dollars worth of marijuana.

The Highway Patrol says it stopped Anthony Russo, 25, Saturday morning for an improper signal during a lane change on I-80 near Park City.

When the trooper went to talk to the driver, he smelled marijuana. Based on that, he searched the car. Inside he found 11 pounds of marijuana and 5 grams of hashish.

Russo and a passenger, 24-year-old Scott Morse, were booked in jail on charges including possession of felony marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of hash.

The marijuana was worth between $3,000 and $5,000 a pound.

UHP Trooper Jeff Planck said the men were traveling from San Francisco to Boston.
