THE KITCHEN — You might have heard of the popular children's book "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie." But this mouse is taking matters into its own hands.
Caught on camera, this mouse peeks its head out of the stove eyeing a box of Oreo cookies. Seizing the opportunity, it takes a chance and leaps out, grabbing a cookie and retreating back to the stove.
I find two things about this video very impressive. First, the fact that the mouse was able to manage getting the cookie, which is almost as big as the mouse itself, back through the crack in the stove. Second, that whoever is taking the video decided to record rather than run away screaming and take the cookies with them.
Personally, if I see a mouse in my kitchen, my stash of cookies will be the first thing I save. I'm not one for giving a mouse a cookie or letting it freely take one, for that matter.
Because as the book goes, if you give a mouse a cookie, they'll always keep coming back for more.
