THE BALLPARK ā Bringing dogs to the ballpark is all the rage, but one minor league team recently tried something a little more unique, which led to one of the weirdest baseball moments I've stumbled across.
The Rome Emperors, the High-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, one-upped its usual "Tail Waggin' Wednesday" promotion by holding "Agriculture Night" last month, presumably to celebrate Georgia's agriculture.
It ultimately featured an impromptu sheepherding demonstration in the middle of the game. Emperors outfielder Logan Braunschweig hacked at an 0-2 pitch in the bottom of the second inning, pulling the ball toward a berm near the right field foul pole, where a sheep flock appeared to be having a good time.

"Head's up, sheep! Oh man," the team broadcaster says as the ball narrowly misses them.
As you can see in the highlight, the flock starts scattering during the commotion, appearing to run for the exits as a herding dog keeps them in line. It's not exactly a moment one could expect when watching the game or listening to it on the radio.
"That could have been baa-d," the team joked.
Baseball has already generated unforgettable moments with cats, dogs, birds, squirrels and even a praying mantis over the years. This moment adds to the legacy of animals in the game.
While these sheep all seemed to be fine, it's probably safe to say this flock is already looking for a new pas(ture)time.
Have You Seen This?
