Have You Seen This? If you give a sheep an exercise ball

A sheep named Steve plays with a rubber ball at his New Zealand home. Life seems so much better there — at least for the sheep.

NEW ZEALAND — I've always heard that the sheep in New Zealand have it incredibly well. First off, they have lots of green fields to explore. Second, they live in an amazing climate. Third, there's a really low crime rate there. Finally, they get to play with exercise balls.

According to the video description, this little game of sheep-ball took place in Te Kuiti, New Zealand. The sheep's name is Steve. Seriously, the sheep are so well taken care of there that they have names like "Steve."

Why are the sheep so pampered in New Zealand? I think it has to do with the huge population advantage they have over humans. There are actually about four sheep for every human in New Zealand.

With so many sheep in the country, they're able to afford powerful lobbyists who help get laws passed that ensure fun sporting equipment and favorable names. I've never met any of these lobbyists or heard of anyone else mention them. But it's the most likely scenario I could come up with.

Guess I'll have to go to New Zealand one of these days and see for myself why the sheep there have it so darned good. It's a trip that's been on my bucket list for three decades now and I need to make it happen. Maybe the sheep lobby can help me secure discount airline tickets.
