DANCE NATION — TikTok has changed our world — for better or worse.
I know one thing, though, the rising generation has more dance moves than any before it — thanks to social media. Maybe you're the type that hates this movement and all that comes with it, or you get sucked into the endless scroll of TikTok or Instagram as you watch the various videos out there.
Maybe you tried to learn some of the dance moves while trapped in your home during the pandemic — I plead the fifth here.
Whatever the reason, dancing makes people feel good, and there's no shortage of it in the sports world, too. Just ask BYU football head coach Kalani Sitake, who has been known to dance on the sideline or in the locker room to help his players stay loose and have fun. He's not alone, though.
Just the other day, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney did the griddy at a charity event in a pink suit.
And on Tuesday, South Carolina coach Shane Beamer made quite the hype video as part of SEC media days.
Beamer enters a room with a strut ready for business and then he transforms into a viral TikTok star — are those Pit Viper sunglasses?! It turns into a party in the football facility, with fireworks and everything.
Your move Nick Saban.
Did this video confirm that South Carolina will be playing for a national championship this year? I can neither confirm nor deny, but I wouldn't be surprised if they won it all after this video (or at least won the internet for the day).
