KAYSVILLE — Four people, two adults and two children, have been displaced after a fire left their home a total loss.
The Kaysville Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire in the 2100 South block of 175 East on Sunday at about 6:30 p.m.
When emergency personnel arrived on the scene, they were told the back of the home was fully engulfed and it had pushed into the attic, according to a Kaysville Fire Department Facebook post.
Units from Layton City Fire Department and Farmington Fire Department were called in to assist.
Additional units from North Davis Fire District and Hill Air Force Base Fire and Emergency Services were called in at 6:45 p.m. According to the Facebook posting, the house was fully engulfed and the roof had collapsed.
According to emergency personnel, the fire was brought under control at 7:30 p.m.
The Kaysville Fire Chief tells KSL that there were no injuries from the fire. Crews stayed on the scene overnight to manage any hot spots.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The Red Cross has been notified to help the family.
