HEART WARMING BLVD — Have you ever watched a romantic movie and thought to yourself: Relationships like that aren't real. This is creating a false sense of reality?
We've all been there.
I mean, don't get me wrong. My wife and I have a great relationship, but it's not perfect all the time. For example, she doesn't get all giddy and excited every time I come home. I guess sometimes, but it's usually so she can tell me it's my turn with the kids. And while I try to treat her right, I'm not always as good as I could be.
So, yeah, I've said before that some of those relationships on screen are bogus and unreal, but my mind has changed on that.
My mind has changed because I've now seen this video that comes from real life and wasn't created by a screenwriter and put up on the big screen. This relationship is real and it's the goal we're all hoping for. This relationship doesn't involve two star-crossed lovers, rather a hungry pup and an ice cream truck driver who loves his job.
This dog is waiting patiently on the sidewalk when he hears it, the most glorious sound most of us could hear — or at least those of us with a sweet tooth and a couple of bucks worth of change wasting away in our pockets — the ice cream truck.
The ice cream truck song is such a comforting and reassuring sound. My own mother could be 2 feet away from 10-year-old me yelling at the top of her lungs for me to go clean my room, and I'd never hear her. However, I could be in the darkest corner of our basement playing Street Fighter II with my MC Hammer cassette playing in my older brother's boom box at an 11, and I'd still hear that truck once it came within two blocks.

This dog perks up as soon as it hears the truck, and that tail goes supersonic. Then the truck rolls up and stops for the doggo. The driver comes out and seems as excited to see the dog as the dog is him. It's really a beautiful thing, and that's what we all need.
Find someone who treats you like this ice cream truck driver treats this dog. Also, find someone who is as excited to see you as this dog is to see this ice cream truck driver.
