1. Individuals gather at homes of Gov. Herbert, Lt. Gov. Cox in protest of mask mandate

Several protesters gathered outside the residential homes of Gov. Gary Herbert and Lt. Gov. Spencer Cox to speak out against the state's mask mandates.

2. SpaceX launches 2nd crew, regular station crew flights begin

SpaceX launched four astronauts to the International Space Station on Sunday on the first full-fledged taxi flight for NASA by a private company.

3. Before Biden inauguration, 70,000 more could die from COVID-19 in the US

U.S. President-elect Joe Biden has pledged to make controlling the coronavirus a top priority and is likely to push for mask wearing mandates and more fiscal stimulus to keep businesses and workers afloat.

4. Wildlife officials investigating dead swans in Salt Lake and Davis counties

A total of 11 swans were found dead or injured in Davis and Salt Lake counties Saturday morning.

5. Skyridge football players charged in assault posted on social media

1. Longtime Utah broadcaster Bill Marcroft, the 'Voice of the Utes' for 38 years, has died

University of Utah head football coach Kyle Whittingham and athletic director Mark Harlan confirmed the death on Twitter Sunday, calling Marcroft an "icon."

3. Jason Shelley dismissed from Utah State for team rules violations

The graduate transfer from Utah has been dismissed from the Aggies' football team for a "violation of team rules," interim head coach Frank Maile announced Sunday night, after just four games of the 2020 season.

Fresno State came into Logan and topped Utah State 35-16 on the back of an explosive offense and a defense that bottled up Shelley and Co. all afternoon.

5. Blackett, Wasps sprint past Morgan in 3A rematch to clinch school's first football title

Blackett ran for 119 yards and a touchdown, and Trey Lund added 100 yards and a touchdown as Juab won its first state title in school history, 17-14, in the Class 3A state championship Saturday night at Greater Zion Stadium at Dixie State.
