WHEREVER DOGS ARE FOUND — Every dog owner has that moment where a dog becomes uniquely theirs. It’s the moment of no return, where you’ve become emotionally attached and the pooch is officially an addition to the family.
It’s can also be the second where the dog becomes more important than most humans.
This precious moment can reveal itself in any number of ways. For my dad, it happened when we heard him monologuing to our puppy when he assumed he was home alone.
For me, it was when the pup fell asleep with her head in my hand for the first time. Eye contact was made with my mother, and my eight-year-old self needed not just any fluffer, but that fluffer.
For this little boy, the moment he falls in love with his dog is caught on camera, and it is undoubtedly the most heartwarming thing you’ll see all week.

It all begins as he’s playing his game, blissfully unaware of what’s to come. Then everything changes when the pupper is revealed.
Tada! The boy's face lights up, and then come the waterworks as he’s overwhelmed with happiness.
He falls to his knees, and luckily there’s a cold, inquisitive nose and wagging tail to greet him. At first, the puppy (understandably) can’t figure out how to respond, but finds its groove as the boy reaches out his hands to pet what is undoubtedly soft fur.
A chin is licked, a lap is explored, and a puppy begins to play with its new owner. Front paws on his shoulders, nibble-licks in his ears, tears intermingling with laughter, and it’s official: This dog is his family ... and he couldn't have a better home.
