SKELEFUN — Some of KSL TV’s morning anchors had a little fun on the air this morning for Halloween.

Specifically Haley Smith, a traffic anchor for KSL TV.

Smith decided simply dressing up in one or two or even three costumes just wasn’t festive enough.

So, she wore nine different costumes. Yes, that’s right. Nine. During the about two-hour morning show.

From cavewoman to candy thief, Smith really brought her A-game for the costumes.

She also dressed up as the Evil Queen from Disney's "Snow White," which she said was part of her family’s costume for Halloween — her daughter was Snow White, her son was a dragon and her husband was Dopey.

The remaining costumes were a witch, a ghost, a Dalmatian, Bat Girl, a pumpkin and BB-8 as part of the group’s "Star Wars" themed costumes.

“It was really fun to do, but some of the fastest wardrobe changes I’ve experienced,” Smith wrote in an email. “At the end of it I felt like I just ran a marathon!”

Among the ”Star Wars” costumes, reporter Ladd Egan wore a child’s Yoda costume, anchor Shara Park was Rae, anchor Dan Spindle was a Shoretrooper with his very own homemade mask his son made, and meteorologist Grant Weyman wore a Jedi costume.

The festivities really brightened the news this morning, even with the cold temperatures. Actually, when Smith dressed up as a witch, she claimed she had cast a spell that had caused all the record-breaking cold weather.

When fellow anchor Shara Park confused her Dalmatian for a cow, Smith quipped that the mixup was “udderly” disrespectful.

In addition to Smith’s costumes, other KSL TV staff appeared on the air to showcase their costumes, including Matthew Jacobson, KSL TV digital producer, who helped Smith give traffic reports while dressed as a scary scarecrow.

For Smith, the quick wardrobe changes were worth it, as long as it brought a little joy to people’s mornings, she said.

“It made my Halloween to bring a little laughter to our viewers' morning!” Smith wrote.
