Have You Seen This? Guy makes guitar out of colored pencils

WOOD SHOP — After I saw "Bohemian Rhapsody," I was watching interviews with the cast members on YouTube and I learned that Queen guitarist Brian May built his own guitar when he was a teenager, and he still plays that same guitar.

Many of you probably already knew this. The guitar is famous enough to have its own Wikipedia page. But regardless of how or when I found out about this fact, it's very cool. Mostly I'm just amazed by the level of talent required to not only be one of the best musicians ever, but also to have built your own instrument that you can use for 50 years.

That level of amazement is the same thing I felt while watching this video, where a man filmed the step-by-step process of building himself a guitar made entirely of colored pencils.

Yesterday's Have You Seen This?

The video is a little long, but also mesmerizing. According to the description, this guy used a total of 1,200 colored pencils to create this guitar, and it's fascinating to watch as he glues, saws and sands the pencil wood down to get a playable electric guitar. The result is an absolutely beautiful — and very colorful — instrument.

And if, like me, your main question when clicking on this was "how does a guitar made out of colored pencils actually sound?" Don't worry, it sounds great, too. The man ends the video playing a bit of a song called, "To God Be The Glory," on his freshly made guitar, and it sounds just as nice as the guitar looks.

Overall, this video is really interesting, and I'm ready to add this colored-pencil guitar to the list of some of coolest guitars of all time.
