LINDON — A 10-year-old girl suffered “severe injuries” and was flown to Primary Children’s Hospital after a crash Friday morning, police said.
Emergency crews responded to a report of a crash at the intersection of 700 North and Geneva Road about 7:40 a.m., according to a statement from Lindon Police Chief Josh Adams.
Adams said a silver 2004 Honda Pilot traveling west on 700 North attempted a left-hand turn onto a southbound lane of Geneva Road when it collided with a silver 2011 Chevrolet HHR traveling east on 700 North.
Both vehicles, he said, had a green light at the time of the collision.
A 10-year-old passenger in the HHR suffered “severe injuries” and was transported to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center before she was flown to Primary Children’s Hospital, Adams said.
Others in the crash suffered minor injuries. Adams said the child was properly restrained within the vehicle.
The crash remains under investigation, but police didn’t believe speed or alcohol factored in the crash. Adams said any charges related to the crash are still pending.
