VAL BLANC, France — Candide Thovex is at it again, careening down mountains and giving viewers some serious anxiety.
In the third installment of his "One of those days" series released on YouTube, 33-year-old Thovex does things on two skis that seem: A) improbable, and B) arguably ill-advised.
Just to name a few shenanigans that Thovex enacts are the following: Skiing through snow tunnels, jumping over a helicopter, busting through a dilapidated barn, skittering across rocky terrain, distracting riders by flying over a bike race and somehow ending up being pulled behind a white horse.
While some of the antics are undoubtedly staged, it's impossible to watch the nearly five-minute clip and not feel your jaw drop and your heart race quicken. For those of us who are not thrill seekers, it allows for a few minutes of a vicarious adrenaline spike. For those of you who are constantly chasing a rush, it may give you an itch to hit the slopes.
And just because we live somewhere snowy where some of these acts could be replicated (especially if you have access to helicopters), please kids: Don't try gliding onto an icy lake and speeding away on a chopper at home.
