TAYLORSVILLE — A new driver got quite the scare Saturday morning when she accidentally ran her vehicle into a building.

The accident occurred around noon at the Einstein Bro. Bagels at 5588 Redwood Road, according to Unified fire Capt. Jay Stevens. A 15-year-old girl who was just learning to drive put the vehicle in the wrong gear when she hit the gas pedal, Stevens said. The car lurched forward and went through a window in the restaurant.

"Basically what we have is a new driver, just getting her permit and you know how it happens sometimes — wrong gear, wrong pedal," Stevens said.

There were no injuries associated with the accident.
