CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) -- An ATV rider headed home after a day on the trails stumbled onto a pair of young brothers who had been missing in the woods north of Parowan for nearly five hours.

Chris Leigh says the boys -- Jaden, 5, and 2-year-old Shayler Wright -- were thirsty and scared, but otherwise OK. The boys had wandered three miles from their grandparents cabin.

Leigh, who was riding with friends and family, says he spotted the boys about 7:20 p.m. MDT Saturday lying in the middle of a road.

A 30-member search and rescue team from the Iron County sheriff's office and the Utah Highway Patrol had been looking for the children since about 3:30 p.m.

Leigh called authorities and drove the kids to a main road. A helicopter transported the kids back to their parents.

Lindsay and Charles Wright say they searched for the children for about an hour on their own before calling police.
