CAPE TOWN, South Africa — A sneaky lion cub frightened an unsuspecting dog at an animal training farm.

The cub lives with its friend the dog at the Cornellskop Animal Training Farm in South Africa. The farm trains animals to play together and work in films and television commercials, and it appears the cub was working on its stealth for an upcoming role when it snuck around a wall to scare the dog.

The lion cub does not appear to have any malicious intent besides getting the dog’s heart racing — much like a brother would to a younger sibling.

In fact, the dog’s reaction is one I recognize from my childhood. My brother’s tactics usually involved a doorway and my blind spot, but the wide-eyed, running away is a spot-on 5-year-old Celeste reaction.
