THE NEIGHBORHOOD — It is always interesting to see unlikely friendships in the animal kingdom.

There are recurring examples, like oxpeckers that hang out on zebras' backs, eating parasites off the zebras and warning them of danger. These little birds help keep the zebras healthy and safe, while the zebras provide them with easy meals.

But I'm more interested in random examples, like a duck that becomes attached to a wolverine, or a gorilla that becomes pals with a leopard, or a moose that becomes friends with a kitten.

It seems like one of these unlikely pairings is on display in this video.

This footage was captured in Woodford, Queensland, Australia, and the caption states that it was unusual.

I'm glad this fox has found a friend it can hang out with at night, but this friendship actually isn't the most unique part of the video. YouTube lists the date the video was shot as March 19, 2026. So, that means this video is actually from the future.

And that, my friends, is totally amazing.
