BULLFROG, Kane County — Two National Park Service law enforcement officers were involved in a shooting at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area on on Saturday.

The Kane County Sheriff's Office sent a warning on Saturday about a "potentially dangerous suspect." Park rangers responded to the report at approximately 8 p.m. Saturday, according to the National Park Service.

The vehicle was located near the Lone Rock Beach Campground, a primitive camping area in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, the park service said.

As officers attempted to stop the driver, "the subject drove their vehicle into a patrol vehicle," a statement from the National Park Service states. Rangers fired shots in response, according to the park service.

None of the officers were injured.

The driver was taken into custody. The National Park Service said the person was treated for noncritical injuries at the Page Hospital.

Kane County, the National Park Service and the FBI are investigating the situation.
