SALT LAKE CITY -- As trying as it might be to wait in line for a driver license renewal, officials at the Utah Driver License Division say things are getting better even with required changes in how you get that license.
The division's director, Nanette Rolfe, told an interim transportation committee Friday that changes in driver license requirements have complicated things.
But Rolfe also said there are things people can do to avoid longer lines. One suggestion she had is have your documents in place. Another is to avoid going to renew your license on Mondays.
"Maybe there is some way we can examine how to get Monday's sorted out," Rolfe said.
She said the summer is also typically busier, and the busiest office is in West Valley.
