THE FRONT YARD – What would you do if a skunk came scurrying up to your dogs? Most of us would grab our dogs and flee in terror. Some of us might even ditch the dog and strictly try to save ourselves.
Why the panic? Because getting sprayed by a skunk is one of the most disgusting things that can happen to a human or dog. The odor hits you in the face like a baseball bat. And it doesn't go away for weeks.
So it's understandable that the guy in this video panics when he sees a skunk in his yard:
Was this skunk on the prowl? Was it looking for its next stink victim? Apparently not. This seems to be the world's friendliest skunk, and it came into the yard to frolic with the dogs.
I imagine that scenes like this are pretty disheartening for friendly skunks. All they want to do is meet new animals and make great memories, but they're continually greeted by frightened shrieks.
But even after seeing this video, I'm going to continue fleeing from skunks. I don't care if one comes into my yard with a badminton set and a notarized contract explaining that it only wants to have fun and won't spray anybody. Better safe than sorry.
Have You Seen This?
