THE CITY PARK — What's your idea of a pleasant day in the park? Perhaps you fly a kite or toss a football. Maybe you prefer croquet or chess. If there's a pond, you might go fishing or play with a toy sailboat.
It's safe to say that most people don't go to the park for epic ping-pong rallies. But this couple in Shaanxi, China, demonstrates that it's an excellent way to spend the afternoon. Better yet, you don't even need to lug your ping-pong table all the way there for the game.
As someone who can barely return even the slowest of serves in ping-pong, I'm in awe of this couple. They have great skills, and I love how intensely they approach the game. It looks as though their rallies could easily go on longer than what we see in this video.
Also, it's nice to see that table-free tennis is alive and well in China. When all you need to play a sport is a ball and a couple of paddles, you know that you've got a perfect sport for old and young alike.
