SANDY, Utah (AP) -- Pablo Campos scored his first goal as a member of Real Salt Lake and Robbie Findley added two goals as Real Salt Lake continued its home dominance with a 4-0 victory over Chivas USA on Wednesday night.
Campos, who was traded to Real Salt Lake (8-9-6) from San Jose on July 15 and made his first start on Wednesday, scored his first goal with his new team in the 43rd minute by heading in a perfect cross from forward Fabian Espindola.
Espindola added to the lead in the 75th minute when his left-footed blast sailed past Chivas USA goalkeeper Lance Parker into the upper corner of the goal. Findley, who entered the game for Campos in the 67th minute, notched goals in the 85th and 89th minute, helping RSL improve to 7-1-4 at home.
Chivas USA (10-8-3) had a chance to take the lead in the 23rd minute when Jesus Padilla had a good look from just outside the penalty box, but goalkeeper Nick Rimando made a diving save and knocked the ball out of bounds.
Rimando finished with two saves for his seventh shutout of the season.
Campos had made five appearances this season for RSL and prior to the trade he played in 14 games nine starts for the Earthquakes and scored two goals.
Chivas USA's starting goalkeeper Zach Thorton left the game at halftime after reaggravating a right quad strain initially suffered July 29 in the MLS All-Star Game also at Rio Tinto Stadium.
