OREM -- The start of BYU's football season is not that far away, and one season ticket holder is grateful to still be going after a break-in at his home.
Gordan Mella owns a home security system. He even works for a company that makes and installs them. But the night he left his system off, a burglar cut the screen on his window and took his computer bag.
Gone were his laptop, a digital camera and what some would consider the most important item of all: his BYU season tickets.
"Unfortunately I had my recently-received BYU football tickets in the bag," Mella said. "And the officer grabbed his heart and went, ‘Ohh!' It was the only reaction that I got out of the officer, which was really funny."
BYU reissued his tickets because they were stolen. He's glad he got them back since he says the games provide great bonding time with his family.
