GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, Ariz. (AP) -- Park rangers announced they were looking for a visitor from Germany on the same day President Barack Obama was touring Grand Canyon National Park.
Authorities say they got a report that 20-year-old Klaus Lauterbach was missing on Friday, five days after he stepped off a shuttle bus at Maswick Lodge.
Rangers announced Sunday they were looking for the man but had little to go on. It wasn't clear if he was still around Grand Canyon or had gone elsewhere.
His father told Flagstaff Police his contact with Lauterbach was a day before he planned to set off for the park.
Obama and his family spent four hours at Grand Canyon on Sunday.
