SALT LAKE CITY -- Hawking fake product left a drug dealer beaten and without a wallet. Police are searching for three suspects in the case.

Salt Lake City police say the man sold $40 worth of fake drugs to three men and a woman at Pioneer Park Sunday afternoon. Somehow, the buyers figured out they had been duped.

They tracked the dealer to an area along North Temple near 800 West. That's where police say one of the men pulled out a skateboard and beat the dealer with it. They took the dealer's wallet, and then sped off.

The Deseret News reports officers have since arrested one man and have booked him for assault. The woman and two men remain at large, possibly in a silver hatchback.
