WEST JORDAN -- A small airplane made an emergency landing in a field near Airport No. 2 Saturday afternoon. No one was injured.
Sgt. Chris Hoffman of the West Jordan Police Department says dispatchers received a call of a plane down off 6200 South near Airport Road (4800 West) around 3 p.m.
Both people inside the plane were pilots; one of them was a student. They were training when one of the engines lost power, so they landed the aircraft in the field. Neither of them was injured. There was little or no damage to the plane.
The FAA has been notified and will conduct an investigation.
