SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Weber County Attorney Mark R. DeCaria has been appointed to replace Judge Parley Baldwin, who retired from Utah's 2nd District Court. Gov. Jon Huntsman made the announcement on Friday.

An Ogden native and a lawyer for 28 years, DeCaria has worked for last 15 years as the Weber County attorney. He has also been an Ogden city prosecutor.

DeCaria's appointment is subject to confirmation by the state Senate.
