(KSL News) A man accused in a brutal attack with a medieval battle ax has been convicted of attempted murder.
A jury found Scott Stapley guilty, saying he intended to kill 17-year-old Justin Ennis in his driveway last July.
Prosecutors say Stapley and Cody Augustine sent text messages to lure the teen outside, and then they stabbed him up to a dozen times and hit him with a battle ax.
The altercation was over a relationship with a girl. Police say both Stapley and Augustine are members of the Juggalo gang.
Augustine's trial is scheduled to begin in March.
