NEW YORK — Dogs are often called a man's best friend. But for artist and creator Alexey Kashpersky, his best friend is a blind iguana.
The Instagram account Dragon and Me details the lavish life of the super crimson albino morph iguana Tamerlan and his owner, Kashpersky. Tamerlan is a stunning neon orange color and is more than 2 feet long.
Tamerlan was born blind, but that doesn't stop him from living a luxurious and fulfilling life — with special care and love from his owner who pampers him.
Tamerlan loves to sunbathe on the porch with his mom and dad, and he gets woken up every day by gentle guitar music that Kashpersky plays for him. Tamerlan even has stuffed iguanas he takes naps with, and he gets daily massages.
Dragon and Me also features videos Kashpersky has created to make Tamerlan look like a real fire-breathing winged dragon. Kashpersky is working on creating a short film that stars Tamerlan the dragon.
The bond between a pet and owner is like none other, and its clear Kashpersky and Tamerlan have an especially close-knit relationship.
