CATVILLE — What do cats have to be so grumpy about? I've owned about a dozen of them over the years, and even the nicest ones were known to give me a death stare now and then.
My cousin had a cat named Bobcat and he was the grumpiest of them all. He'd just sit on the couch, staring with disgust. He seemed annoyed that you even existed.
As uncomfortable as it was to deal with Bobcat's glares, at least you knew you were safe. It was when you couldn't see him that you really needed to worry. That diabolical cat would stalk you for hours, slowly moving in for the kill. Then, when you least expected it, he'd lunge from under the couch or from behind a door and sink his claws into your ankle.
I'm grateful none of my cats were as vicious as old Bobcat. But we did have a cat named Pitty, who would take a swat at us now and then. Luckily, he was a pretty lethargic cat, and his attacks rarely were substantial enough to draw blood.
Bobcat, on the other hand, could draw blood just with a single look in your direction.
This video shows another aspect of the personality of cats. Turns out, this one, named Bruce, is great at singing the blues
It seems as though the guitar player is legitimately enjoying this little duet with his pet. But my theory is the cat is complaining about all the things he hates about the guy. And he might even be planning his next attack.
