BELGIUM — What's the scariest trail you've ever tackled on a bike? For me, it was the cliff trail near my childhood home. This infamous trail weaved down a steep hill littered with jagged dangers, such as rocks and old strands of barbed wire.
I crashed many times on the cliff trail. My Huffy was so dented and scratched from these collisions, it began to resemble the sun-bleached animal bones that littered the ground around the cliff area.
But as scary as the trail was, at least I survived the various crashes that took place on it. So, it seems, those dangers were only moderate. The trail in this video, on the other hand, looks like it could do some serious damage to any cyclist who might crash.
Ridgeline trails like this seriously give me the willies. The drop-offs look terrifying and, based on my crash record, I would never make it safely to the end.
The trail is someplace in Belgium and the biker is Bryan van der Veer, of the Netherlands. He wrote in the caption: "It's a true test of skill and adventure, and I'm taking you along for the ride."
I know I couldn't "enjoy" that kind of ride.
