THE FIELD — It's pretty common knowledge that different families have very different Uno rules. There are even disagreements within my family, especially regarding stacking "draw two" cards. But it's a bit more extreme — and hilarious, really — when you throw Uno rules into an entirely different game.
During a charity soccer match in London on Saturday, YouTuber Max Fosh threw an Uno "reverse" card out after a referee showed him a yellow card.
A yellow card from a referee means a player has officially been cautioned — but in this case, was the referee cautioned, instead?
Despite the benefit of the reverse card, which the Daily Mail reported did keep Fosh from getting punished, the YouTube AllStars still lost to the Sidemen.
One problem here is it looks like Fosh's reverse card was not yellow, but green. If you're going to be mixing rules, I think you might be required to follow the rules of at least one of the two games you're mixing.
Fosh's YouTube channel description says "this is all a bit silly isn't it" — which matches his actions in the game. He has over 2 million followers.
After seeing how useful a reverse card can be, I'm regretting my choice to throw out that spare red "skip" card I found this week. There are so many things in life I would have liked to skip.
